We had a great Christmas this year but we did miss being around all of our friends and family. It was still a great holiday and as usual many people went out of their way to include us in their family's events and make us feel at home. This is our little man on Christmas Eve. His Chilean grandma, Gloria, bought him this tie for Christmas.
Kate and Isaac right before church on Christmas Eve
I had to bribe Kate with gum to let me take this picture.
On December 24th we went to Vina del Mar for the day. We played on the beach but didn't get in the water because it was a little cold and there was a cool breeze.
Kate has been talking for months about wanting to ride a white horse like a princess, so when we saw that we could rent a white horse for half an hour we were really excited. Shonn rode with Kate and Ticia rode with Isaac.
It was really beautiful riding right on the beach. Isaac spent the whole time riding on the neck of the horse right in front of the saddle. He would cry if you tried to move him. He was really sad when it was time to get off.

Shonn and Kate and Isaac made this sand castle together. We didn't have any beach gear, so they used a bowl and kitchen cooking utensils.
Isaac wanted everyone to notice the ocean off to his right.
Kate and Isaac let us bury them in the sand. The crying started soon after this picture was taken

Fun in the sun
Best pals at the beach
That's what Isaac does when we ask him for his best smile. As usual, Isaac was getting the full experience that day by actually tasting all of his surroundings.

We love the pictures. The kids look like they are having such a blast and we are glad to see that Kates great hairstyles continue on the other side.

Hey Ticia,
Adorable pictures! How crazy to see kids at the beach in bathing suits in December! Even here in Monterey it's tooooo freezing cold to even try. Looks like the kids were troopers and had such fun! I'm glad you had a good Christmas!
